Sashee drew on a family story that includes a Chinese mother and a Sri Lankan father born on a tea estate. Beginning in 2015, she explored the idea from her apartment kitchen.
What followed was a convenient, bagless, single-serve Tea Drop built from finely ground whole-leaf tea and real spices.
